The school accepts students from age 11 through to 18, year 7, to year 13.
The current principal was appointed in 2014 and has maintained and improved the school in all ways he can.

Haberdashers' Asks's has a keen belief on student involvement and so the students do a lot around the school.
The school participates in many charity events, such as food bank donations, jeans for genes days, the Christmas concert, battle the bands. and many other events. All charity events are ran by the students and staff at Crayford academy and benefit the community around the school.

The Federation is named ‘Haberdashers’ Aske’s’ after Robert Aske, the benefactor whose charitable benevolent fund the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers’ administer. He died in 1689 leaving £20,000 to the Company to buy a piece of land within one mile of London and to build on it a 'Hospital' and a school. The rest of his estate, £12,000, he left for the benefit of the Foundation, or Charity, of which the Haberdashers' Company became trustee. Since then, the school has massively grown, into what it is today.
